Hakim Frames Warranty
The Hakim frames guarantee gives eligible frames one year of protection. Understand the one-year, one-time warranty for eligible Hakim frames, the separate manufacturer warranty for other designer brands, and the support available at Hakim Optical stores.
One Year, One Time for Eligible Hakim Frames
The Hakim Frames Warranty provides a one-year, one-time unconditional warranty on Hakim designer, signature and limited-edition frames identified by D, E, F, L and S codes. Coverage begins on the original pickup date. Brand-name designer frames and sunglasses identified by A-code follow a separate, limited manufacturer-defect warranty.
The Hakim-branded frame warranty applies once during the one-year period. The official policy does not provide a warranty for lost eyewear or a change of mind about frame selection.
For warranty assistance, bring your frames and available purchase details to a Hakim Optical location so the team can confirm the frame category and original pickup date.
A-Code Frames: One-Year Limited Manufacturer Warranty
Brand-name designer frames and sunglasses identified by A-code have a separate one-year limited warranty for verified manufacturing defects, starting on the original pickup date.
How the manufacturer warranty works
- Supplier verification: The frame supplier determines whether an issue is a manufacturing defect rather than normal wear and tear.
- Verified defects: When the supplier confirms a manufacturing defect, the supplier, not Hakim Optical, repairs or replaces the frame at no charge.
- Non-qualifying issues: If the problem is not a verified manufacturing defect, the customer pays the applicable repair or replacement cost.
The unconditional Hakim-branded frame warranty and this limited A-code warranty are different programs. Confirm which frame category appears on your purchase information.
What the Frame Warranty Does Not Include
Lost Items
No warranty is available for lost frames or other lost items under any circumstances.
Patient-Owned Frames
There is no warranty on a customer’s own frame when purchasing new lenses for it.
Frame Selection
There is no “Happiness” warranty for changing your mind about the choice of frame.
How to Request Warranty Assistance
Bring the eyewear and any available purchase information to a Hakim Optical store. The team can review the product category and original pickup date, then explain the applicable warranty process.
Hakim-branded D, E, F, L and S-code frames follow the one-year, one-time warranty. A-code designer frames and sunglasses require supplier verification of a manufacturing defect.
For exchanges, cancellations and refunds, please review the separate customer return and exchange policy.

Complimentary Lifetime Frame Maintenance
Hakim Optical provides complimentary lifetime maintenance on Hakim Optical prescription eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses.
- Professional cleaning of eligible prescription eyewear.
- Hardware tightening for screws, nuts and bolts.
- Frame adjustments to help maintain a comfortable fit.
These routine maintenance services are separate from a frame warranty or a chargeable repair. Ask your local store about the service appropriate for your eyewear.
One-Year Limited Lens Warranty
The 2026 policy covers eligible lens manufacturing defects, workmanship and accuracy issues for one year. Examples include pre-existing surfacing marks beneath a coating, coating bubbles, pre-existing distortion, incorrect lens shape or gaps, and lenses that do not meet the original order parameters within the established tolerances.
Normal wear and tear, including scratches, chipping, pitting, overheating-related hazing and warping, is excluded. Patient-owned lenses have no warranty when purchased with a new frame.
Progressive non-adaptation and doctor’s prescription changes have separate 90-day and 60-day provisions respectively.

Anti-reflection and scratch-resistant coatings have a one-year limited warranty for manufacturing defects such as peeling, crazing or hazing that is not caused by wear and tear.
Photochromic and polarized lenses have one-year manufacturing-defect coverage for mismatched tint on the original lens pair, but not a single replacement lens. Photochromic lenses are also covered for a qualifying failure to darken properly.
Wear-related scratches, chipping, pitting and heat damage are not covered under these limited warranties.
