Importance of Eye Exams
Annual eye exams are important for overall health. A comprehensive exam can spot eye diseases before symptoms appear and can even help identify other underlying health problems.
To ensure our customers have access to eye exams, all of our Toronto locations have an independently owned and operated Eye Exam Centre. Many locations offer same-day walk-in service or you can book an appointment online.
Contact Lenses
Toronto Hakim Optical locations sell a variety of daily, weekly, monthly and coloured contact lens brands to fit your specific needs. We offer single vision, multifocal and toric contact lenses from brands such as:

History of Hakim Optical in Toronto
Sir Hakimi moved to Canada in 1967 and opened his own business in a dance hall of the former Elmwood Hotel. He bought optical equipment from a closed-down lab in Chicago and rebuilt it to produce his own lenses. He began to knock on doors to sell his lenses in Toronto and slowly built up his business.
Today, there are over 160 optical locations throughout Canada, from British Columbia to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
